Text can be converted to speech with a small engine derived from Android Pico TTS. This package includes a library and Unix command useful for accessibility scripts, notifications, generated audio prompts, and lightweight speech output. It is run from a terminal with commands such as pico2wave. Synthesized speech may read private text aloud or write audio files, so scripts should handle input and output paths carefully.
