Phylogenetic sequence datasets can be fabricated through a BEAST/BEAGLE-oriented simulation utility. It is useful for researchers testing analysis pipelines with controlled synthetic data.
Synthetic data can validate methods but should not be confused with observations. Label generated datasets clearly and document simulation parameters.
