Description
Pi-hole can process DNS queries, statistics, and filtering logic through its FTL engine. This component keeps the network-level blocking service responsive and records the data used by Pi-hole dashboards.
It is a background service component. DNS logs can reveal browsing patterns for the whole network, so retention, access control, upstream DNS, and service availability should be managed deliberately.
