Applications running on PHP 8.3 can use PDO connections to Firebird databases. This runtime extension is useful for business systems, reporting scripts, or internal tools that depend on Firebird-backed records. It is dependency-only and has no separate launcher; PHP code uses it with PDO after credentials are configured. Database roles, connection strings, backups, and prepared statements need care because the module can read or change stored business data.
