Perl applications can use kakasi to convert Japanese text between writing forms such as kanji, kana, and romanized output. This is useful for search indexing, text normalization, and Japanese-language processing tools.
It is a developer library. Transliteration is not full translation, so applications should avoid presenting converted text as a faithful translation of meaning.
