Perl applications can use GNU Libidn2 to encode and decode internationalized domain names. This helps network tools handle Unicode domain text while still producing the DNS-compatible form used on the wire.
It is a developer library. Internationalized domains can be visually deceptive, so software that shows or validates them should apply clear anti-spoofing rules.
