Older Perl mail tools can query SPF information to decide whether a sending host matches a domain's mail policy. This supports compatibility with software that still expects the Mail::SPF::Query interface.
It is mainly a mail-authentication compatibility library. Administrators should prefer maintained SPF stacks when available and avoid using SPF results as the only anti-abuse control.
