Description
Perl applications can access scanners through the SANE framework. This is useful for scan automation, document capture tools, archival workflows, and custom front ends for scanner hardware.
It is a hardware integration library, not a full scanning application. Scanner access can handle private documents, so device permissions, output paths, and saved files should be controlled.
