Description
Perl applications can read and write TIFF image data through bindings to libtiff. This is useful for scanning workflows, publishing, scientific images, archival tools, and converters that handle TIFF files.
It is an image-processing library, not a viewer. Applications should validate untrusted image files and preserve metadata intentionally when converting or editing.
