Description
Perl applications can use libev, a high-performance event loop, for timers, I/O watchers, signals, and asynchronous work. This is useful for network services, clients, and tools that need responsive nonblocking behavior.
It is a developer library, not an event monitor. Applications using it still need resource limits, timeout handling, and safe processing of external input.
