Description
Loads OpenStreetMap data into PostgreSQL and PostGIS databases. Map builders and GIS administrators use it to import OSM extracts for rendering, geocoding, spatial analysis, or custom map services.
Use it when a database must be populated from OSM data. Imports can be large and resource-intensive, so plan disk space, memory, indexes, and update strategy before loading production datasets.
