Adds Hadoop Distributed File System repository support to OpenSearch. It lets clusters store snapshots and repository data in HDFS-backed infrastructure.
Use it when search backups must integrate with an existing Hadoop storage environment. Review HDFS permissions, paths, retention, and restore procedures because repository data may include sensitive indexed content.
