Cartographic projections and coordinate reference system transformations can be performed through the PROJ library from Octave. This helps users convert coordinates in mapping and geospatial analysis workflows.
It is a geospatial extension. Coordinate transformations should be checked carefully because wrong CRS choices can move data to the wrong location.
