Markdown notes can be organized as a local linked knowledge base using the AppImage build. This suits users who want the Obsidian application format packaged separately from the regular binary package.
The vault remains a folder of plain-text files. Users should still review plugins, sync options, and publishing settings before storing private or work-sensitive material.
