Description
Older NVIDIA 470-and-earlier driver setups can work around a known NVML library problem. This is useful when monitoring or GPU-management tools fail because of that driver-library bug.
This is a compatibility workaround for a specific driver family. It should be used only when the affected NVML issue is present, because driver-library workarounds can become unnecessary or harmful after driver changes.
