Description

System time can be set from NTP servers with a small command-line client. It is useful for scripts, recovery environments, and older setups that need a one-shot time synchronization tool.

Changing system time can affect logs, certificates, scheduled jobs, and authentication. Prefer maintained time services for normal desktops and servers when available.
