Description
VLC playback can be embedded in older NPAPI-compatible browsers through a development plugin build. It is useful only for legacy web applications or browser environments that still depend on NPAPI media plugins.
NPAPI is an obsolete browser plugin model and is not supported by most modern browsers. Use it only when a specific legacy workflow requires it, and avoid exposing untrusted media pages.
