Devices and services on a network can be discovered with a packaged network scanner. It is useful for troubleshooting local connectivity, inventorying a lab, or understanding what is visible on a trusted network.
Scanning networks that you do not own or administer can be inappropriate or blocked by policy. Use discovery features only where you have permission.
