Description

Linux applications can communicate with kernel netlink interfaces through an asynchronous protocol implementation. It is useful for developers building tools that observe or change networking, routing, devices, or other kernel-managed state.

Most users receive it as a dependency. It does not add a launcher; its effects depend on the software that links to it and the permissions that software has.
