Legacy Telnet workflows can use TLS when compatibility with old client or server setups is still required. It helps administrators maintain older environments while reducing some plain-text transport risk.
Telnet remains a legacy remote-access protocol. Prefer modern SSH where possible, and use the server component only on trusted networks with deliberate security settings.
