Description

Legacy finger protocol queries can be made from Linux with IPv6 and Debian patch support. It is useful for administrators or users who still need compatibility with old Unix-style account-information services.

Finger can expose or request user information over the network. Use it only where the service is expected, and avoid publishing personal or account details unintentionally.
