Description

Finger protocol queries and service behavior can be used from a Linux port of BSD finger. It helps legacy network environments inspect basic user or host information where the protocol is still intentionally deployed.

Finger is old and can reveal user details to the network. Avoid enabling public service exposure unless a legacy environment explicitly requires it.
