Wi-Fi details stored in netctl profiles can be turned into QR codes for easier sharing with phones or other devices. It is useful when the user wants to avoid typing long network names and passwords by hand.
QR codes for Wi-Fi can expose the network password to anyone who scans or sees them. Share the generated code only with people who should have access to that network.
