Description
Runs an authentication service that creates and validates credentials, especially for high-performance computing clusters. It helps processes on trusted cluster nodes prove identity to each other at scale.
Use it only in environments designed around MUNGE trust keys and node membership. Credential services are security-sensitive, and wrong key or permission handling can break cluster jobs or weaken trust.
