Measures multicast reachability on a network, helping administrators confirm whether multicast packets travel between hosts as expected. It is useful for diagnosing discovery protocols, streaming setups, or multicast routing behavior.
Network diagnostics can be noisy or blocked by policy. Use it on networks you are allowed to test, and avoid interpreting one failed ping as proof without checking firewall, switch, and routing settings.
