Description
Backend Apache servers can recover original client address information from proxy headers. Administrators use this module when reverse proxies sit in front of Apache and logs or applications need the real client IP.
Forwarded headers are trust-sensitive. Only accept them from trusted proxies, or clients may spoof IP addresses and bypass logging or access rules.
