Apache configuration can query MaxMind DB files for IP-based decisions or metadata. Administrators use this module when web rules need geolocation, ASN, or other MMDB-backed information.
IP database decisions are approximate and depend on data freshness. Review privacy, licensing, caching, and false matches before using results for access control or personalization.
