Description

Optional firmware files can satisfy kernel module firmware checks and reduce early warnings about possibly missing firmware. It helps users avoid confusing boot messages when the default Linux kernel scans drivers that may need optional device firmware.

Firmware affects hardware initialization and may not be needed on every system. Install it to resolve real firmware needs or noisy warnings, but keep normal kernel and firmware updates aligned.
