Description
Dynamic DNS updates can be performed from the initramfs before the main system starts. Administrators use this hook when early-boot networking must publish a reachable address for remote unlock or recovery workflows.
It is an early-boot networking hook, not a general DNS manager. Credentials and network exposure must be protected because they become part of the boot environment.
