Builds initramfs images used early in the Linux boot process. The initramfs contains drivers, hooks, and tools needed before the real root filesystem is mounted.
Keep it on systems that boot through mkinitcpio, which is common on Arch-based distributions. It is important for kernel updates, encrypted systems, storage drivers, and boot reliability.
