Webcam frames can be streamed over HTTP as MJPEG for browsers, monitoring pages, or simple camera integrations. Users and administrators use mjpg-streamer for lightweight local camera streaming.
It is a webcam streaming server, not a video conferencing app. Camera streams can reveal private spaces, so restrict network access and confirm which device is shared.
