Description
Cross-compilation can produce programs for the MIPS64 ELF bare-metal target from a different host system. Developers use this GCC package for firmware, kernels, coursework, ports, or software that must run on that architecture. This stage-one variant is mainly for building the rest of a cross toolchain, not for ordinary application development.
It is a compiler toolchain component, not an IDE. Correct output depends on target ABI, libraries, linker scripts, and testing on the intended hardware or emulator.
