Black-and-white scanned images can be encoded efficiently into DjVu files. Users working with document scans use minidjvu when they need compact output for text-heavy pages, books, or archival material.
It is a command-line encoder, not a document viewer. Encoding can be lossy depending on settings, so keep originals until the result is checked.
