Description
TLS and cryptographic compatibility for older Windows-targeted software can be built with the OpenSSL 1.0 branch. This package is mainly useful when a legacy project cannot move to a newer OpenSSL API yet.
It is a legacy security toolkit, not a recommended choice for new software. Prefer maintained OpenSSL versions when possible and handle keys, certificates, and protocol settings carefully.
