Description

Memory leaks in a running process can be investigated without recompiling or restarting the target application. It is useful for developers and administrators diagnosing long-lived services or hard-to-reproduce leaks.

This is an advanced debugging tool and may need permissions to inspect another process. Attaching to processes can expose sensitive memory contents or affect performance, so use it on systems you are authorized to debug.
