Description

Unix group membership can be listed from the command line, helping administrators and users see who belongs to a group. It is useful for checking permissions, access troubleshooting, and account audits.

This is an information utility and does not change membership by itself. Group data can reveal user or access structure, so share outputs carefully on multi-user systems.
