Description

Manages Linux software RAID arrays built with md devices. Administrators use it to create arrays, assemble them at boot, monitor disk health, replace failed drives, and inspect RAID status.

Use it only when the system uses software RAID or you are intentionally configuring one. Storage mistakes can cause data loss, so changes should be planned and backed up.
