Description
Media applications can use Intel VA-API hardware acceleration through the Yami codec infrastructure.
This library is useful for video playback, transcoding, streaming, and media tools that need hardware-assisted encode or decode support. It does not add a player or editor by itself; consuming software uses it in the media pipeline.
Hardware acceleration depends on Intel GPU support, drivers, codecs, and application integration. Test with real media workloads.
