Description
Older X11 applications such as xpaint can use a 3D-styled Athena widget library with Xft font support.
This package is mainly a compatibility dependency for software that expects this specific xaw3d variant. It does not add a painting application by itself; the dependent program uses it to render interface widgets.
Install it when an older X11 application requires it. New software should normally use maintained toolkits.
