Network services can apply TCP wrapper rules to monitor or control incoming connections.
This library is useful for legacy daemons and administrators who rely on hosts.allow and hosts.deny style access checks. It does not secure a service automatically; the daemon must use the library and the rules must be configured correctly.
Access-control mistakes can block legitimate users or expose services. Review rules, logging, DNS behavior, and firewall policy together.
