Description
Video applications can bridge VA-API requests to a VDPAU backend when that compatibility path is needed.
This driver layer is useful for systems or older applications that expect VA-API while the available acceleration path is VDPAU. It does not add a video player; media software loads it through the acceleration stack.
Compatibility depends on GPU driver, desktop session, codec, and application. Prefer native driver paths when they work better.
