Applications built for utf8proc interface version 2 can continue processing Unicode text correctly.
This compatibility package supplies the shared library version expected by dependent software. It does not add a visible application; other programs use it for UTF-8 normalization, character handling, and string processing.
Use it when an application requires this ABI. Text correctness still depends on how the parent application handles languages, encodings, and invalid input.
