This package is useful for system utilities that create, modify, or inspect user and group records without each tool implementing its own account backend logic. It does not add a normal settings app by itself; another administration program uses it to perform the actual changes.
User and group changes affect login access, permissions, file ownership, and system security. Use only with trusted administrative tools and understand which accounts are being changed.
