Description
GNOME and GTK applications can make HTTP requests or serve HTTP endpoints through a shared networking library.
This library is used by desktop apps that need web APIs, downloads, authentication flows, local web services, or HTTP-based communication. It does not add a browser or server interface by itself; another application controls what is requested or served.
Network behavior may include credentials, cookies, telemetry, downloads, or local listening ports depending on the parent application. Review that app for privacy and security decisions.
