Audio software can receive AirPlay-style streams by emulating the behavior of an AirPort Express receiver.
This library is useful for programs that turn a Linux system into a target for network audio playback from compatible clients. It is not a complete music player by itself; another application or service uses it to handle the protocol and audio stream.
Network audio may expose the machine on the local network. Use trusted networks and review the consuming application if access control or private audio matters.
