Current scrypt library support helps Linux applications use memory-hard password hashing or key derivation through a shared library. It is useful for authentication and encryption tools that track Git-branch changes.
This is a cryptographic development library, not a complete security product. Safe use depends on parameter choices, salts, storage, and protocol review.
