Headless libpurple messaging support helps services such as BitlBee use chat protocols without graphical Pidgin dependencies. It is useful for servers, bridges, and terminal or IRC-based messaging workflows.
This is a minimal messaging library, not a chat interface. Connected accounts may expose contacts, messages, and credentials through bridge software, so configuration and permissions matter.
