STNS-backed Linux user and group resolution helps systems obtain identity data from a Simple Toml Name Service source. It is useful for administrators who want centralized account information without editing every local passwd and group file.
This is an NSS identity module, not a complete account-management suite. Availability and correctness of the STNS service can affect logins, ownership, and permissions.
