Description
Suffix-based resolver configuration helps Linux choose DNS behavior from files under /etc/resolver. It is useful for split-DNS setups, development domains, VPN environments, and compatibility with resolver layouts from other systems.
This is a resolver extension, not a full DNS service. Incorrect suffix rules can send lookups to the wrong server or break name resolution for applications.
