JPEG XL image support from the Git branch helps applications encode and decode the modern JXL image format. It is useful for viewers, converters, browsers, and image workflows testing current reference implementation changes.
This is an image codec library, not a photo manager. Applications decide compression settings and file replacement, so keep originals before batch conversion.
